We create quality medical websites - which is not as easy as you might think!

Many ‘professional’ designed websites for health professionals fail to do what they’re supposed to do. Patients and other health providers can’t find what they need to know and this type of website can actually negatively impact on the credibility of the health professional.

In creating your website, we strictly adhere to the Medical Board of Australia's Guidelines for Advertising of Regulated Health Services [PDF] (July 2010) and the AMA Position Statement on Advertising and Public Endorsement (2006).

A medical professional’s website needs to be clean and elegant with information that is simple to find and easy to read. Underneath, it should have the sound anatomical structure (html, css, javascript) that will allow your site to be easily accessed across multiple platforms and browsers so you can be seen by all patients, no matter what their internet connection.

Some websites might look clean and simple but if you look 'under the hood' at the source code, it's bloated with unnecessary information. Conversely, some other sites are filled with flashy gimmicks and media content. Unfortunately, on a medical professional’s website, they are distracting, can be slow to load on non broadband connections and may cause coding errors on some browsers. People can become irritated with flash animation and will click away. The last thing a health professional wants is to leave people with a sense of distaste!

A website designed by us has excellent ‘bones’ of sound html coding, clean css and judicious use of javascript. On top of these bones, we add the ‘skin’ of a logical and intuitive page design with colours and fonts that allow for easy reading on any type of display. In a nutshell - true accessibility.

A unique Aussie perspective

Web design services currently available are from the cookie cutter American model of selling healthcare as a consumer product. We know that doesn’t work here in Australia and this can even be considered offensive by some patients. Your business comes from having good working relationships with referring health professionals and fostering positive therapeutic relationships with patients. Your website should complement this and not detract from it. Our goal is to create a portal for information and communication, not to flog you like an infomercial.

Our services

We understand that you may not have the time to be involved in website creation. You can have as much or as little involvement as you prefer. You can tell us what content you want on every page or we can create a website using the information you provide from your C.V. and practice location details. We can also redesign an existing website from scratch. Tell us what you want and we’ll make it happen.

Did you know?

Internet Explorer 6 was launched on August 27, 2001. That's just about a decade ago. Even Microsoft have admitted that the recently publicised hacks to major companies occurred because of flaws in IE6.

The most important reason for upgrading are these serious security flaws that open up your PC to attack by malicious hackers. If you are using your browser at work, your IT department should be made aware that ongoing use of IE6 is a major security risk to the running of any company. It's the online equivalent of leaving your wallet open while walking down the street.

Major websites will be dropping support for this ancient browser. Youtube and gmail no longer support IE6.

So does WebInjection still support IE6? Our websites will still work on IE6, they just won't look as good as they could on a better browser.
